Silk Foods Ceylon seeks a highly experienced and strategic General Manager to oversee and drive excellence across Production, Supply Chain, Transport & Logistics, Finance, R&D, Maintenance, and Administration. The ideal candidate will report to the Group Chief Operating Officer while playing a critical role in optimizing operations, ensuring financial performance, and achieving strategic objectives.

Primary Accountabilities
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to maximize productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
• Ensure production processes meet quality standards, cost-effectiveness, and production targets.
• Manage procurement, vendor relations, logistics, and inventory to maintain smooth operations.
• Oversee transport logistics and ensure effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Work closely with the finance team to develop budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Lead R&D initiatives to drive product innovation and process improvements.
• Manage administrative functions, including facility management, regulatory compliance, and organizational support.
• Build and inspire cross-functional teams and promote a culture of excellence & collaboration.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, distributors, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies.
• Provide regular performance updates to the Top Management, with strategic insights and recommendations.

Candidate Profile
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the food processing industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Demonstrated success in leading diverse teams and managing multi-functional operations.
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Data-driven approach to decision-making with excellent analytical skills.
• Strong background in process optimization, financial management, and strategic planning.
• Education background in Food Processing, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
